These terms set out the agreement between you and Wondra when you use one of our apps. We've tried to write them as clearly as possible. If anything's unclear, please email hello@getwondra.com and we'll explain.
How these Terms are organised. Most of these Terms apply to all of Wondra — accounts, subscriptions, how our AI works, acceptable use, liability and more (Sections 1–16). Because each app is a little different, we've then split out short, app-specific sections: WondraTales (Section 17), WondraCalm (Section 18) and WondraWords (Section 19). Read the shared part, then the one section for the app you use.
Part One — Across all of Wondra
1. About these terms
Wondra ("we", "us", "our") builds a small portfolio of personalised apps — WondraTales (personalised children's stories), WondraCalm (personalised meditation for adults) and WondraWords (personalised speeches such as wedding speeches). By creating an account or using one of our apps, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the app.
These Terms form a legal agreement between you and Wondra, governed by the law of England and Wales. They apply to whichever of our apps you use; where an app has its own specific rules, those are set out in its section below.
Our apps are distributed via the Apple App Store, and your use of the iOS app itself is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. These Terms supplement — but do not replace — Apple's EULA.
2. Your account
You can use our apps as a guest with limited features, or create an account with an email address for the full experience. When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your password secure
- Be responsible for all activity that happens under your account
- Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission
You may delete your account at any time from within the app's Settings. This will remove your profiles, saved content, and account data from our systems, although your active subscription must be cancelled separately through your Apple ID Subscriptions settings.
3. Subscriptions and payment
Free tier
Each Wondra app is free to use with a limited number of creations and features. The exact free-tier limits differ by app and are set out in that app's section (17, 18 and 19).
App subscriptions
Each app has its own optional, auto-renewable subscription that unlocks unlimited generation, saving to your library, and other premium features within that app:
- WondraTales Unlimited (see Section 17)
- WondraCalm Unlimited (see Section 18)
- WondraWords Unlimited (see Section 19)
The features and prices for each subscription are set out in that app's section below. Prices may vary by region, and the current price applicable to you is always shown in the app at the time of purchase. Each subscription unlocks only the app you buy it in.
A single "Wondra Unlimited" plan that unlocks all Wondra apps together may be offered in future. If and when it is, its own terms and price will be added here.
Apple subscription terms (required disclosures)
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Renewal billing: Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period at the price of the subscription you selected.
Managing your subscription: You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings → Subscriptions, after purchase.
Free trials: Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
Refunds
All purchases are made through Apple's App Store. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds directly.
4. AI-generated content
The content our apps create — stories in WondraTales, sessions in WondraCalm — is generated by artificial intelligence based on the information you provide. You should know:
- Content is generated fresh each time and may vary in quality, tone, and content
- We apply safety measures appropriate to each app before showing you content, but no automated safety system is perfect
- We cannot guarantee that every piece of content will be free of errors, inaccuracies, or wording you find unsuitable
- You remain responsible for how you use the content, and (in WondraTales) for reviewing stories before reading them aloud
- Report concerns: If content seems inappropriate, please use the in-app feedback option or email us at hello@getwondra.com so we can improve our safety systems
Our apps are intended to support you, not to replace your own judgement about what's appropriate.
5. How you may use our apps
You may use our apps for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You agree NOT to:
- Use an app to harm, harass, exploit, or endanger any person, or any child
- Attempt to generate content that is harmful, hateful, sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of an app
- Use an app to compete with us or build a competing service
- Republish, sell, or distribute generated content commercially
- Use an app in a way that violates any applicable law
- Bypass or attempt to bypass our safety systems, paywalls, or content filters
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Intellectual property
Our content
Wondra and its apps — including the apps, brand, logos, website, frameworks, and underlying technology — are owned by Wondra and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use our apps for your own use.
Your content
The information you enter — your profile details and, in WondraTales, details about your child — remains yours. By using an app, you grant us permission to use this information solely to generate content for you and to operate the service.
Generated content
Content generated for you is for your personal use. You may read, save, and share it privately. You may not republish, sell, or commercially distribute it.
7. Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect across Wondra, how we use it, and your rights, including the specifics for each app. By using a Wondra app, you confirm that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep our apps available at all times, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. A service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, third-party dependencies (including Apple's services and our AI provider), or circumstances beyond our control.
We may also update, change, or discontinue features at any time, though we'll aim to notify you of significant changes.
9. Termination
You can stop using our apps at any time. To fully delete your account, use the "Delete account" option in the app's Settings, or email us at hello@getwondra.com.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if your account is inactive for an extended period, or if we discontinue the service. If we terminate your account due to a violation, you may not be entitled to a refund.
10. Disclaimers
Our apps are provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not make any warranties or representations about them, including:
- That the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
- That generated content will be of any particular quality or suit any particular purpose
- That our safety measures will catch all inappropriate content
- That an app will be compatible with all devices or future iOS versions
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK consumer law, including your statutory rights.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wondra shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, our apps.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in this section limits liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Wondra harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of an app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our apps, the law, or our business practices. When we make material changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email, and we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of our apps after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree with the changes, please stop using the app and delete your account.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you have a complaint, please email us first at hello@getwondra.com — we want to resolve things quickly and fairly.
15. Other
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce a provision doesn't waive our right to enforce it later. You may not transfer or assign your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor of our business.

Part Two — App-specific details
17. WondraTales specifics
WondraTales is our personalised storytelling app for children. The account holder is always the parent or guardian, and the shared Terms above (1–16) apply in full. The following is specific to WondraTales.
Who can use WondraTales
WondraTales is designed for use by parents, guardians, and other adults caring for children. You must:
- Be at least 18 years old to create an account
- Have the legal authority to agree to these Terms
- Be responsible for any child whose profile you create in the app
- Supervise children's use of the app and review the stories generated before reading them aloud
WondraTales is not intended for unsupervised use by children. As a parent or guardian, you are responsible for deciding whether the content generated is appropriate for your child.
Free-tier limits
The WondraTales free tier includes 3 stories per calendar month, 1 child profile, and no saving of stories. WondraTales Unlimited (Section 3) removes these limits and adds multiple child profiles and a saved library, for £4.99/month or £34.99/year.
Story safety and your review
We apply safety checks to every generated story, including filters for age-appropriate language and any avoidance topics you specify. However, no automated system is perfect, so you remain responsible for reviewing stories before reading them aloud — especially for younger children or children with particular sensitivities. WondraTales is intended to support parent-child reading, not to replace your judgement about what's appropriate for your child.
18. WondraCalm specifics
WondraCalm is our personalised meditation and sleep app for adults. The shared Terms above (1–16) apply in full. The following is specific to WondraCalm.
Who can use WondraCalm
WondraCalm is intended for adults aged 18 and over. You must be old enough to hold an Apple ID and to enter into a binding agreement in your country of residence. WondraCalm is a personal wellbeing tool, not a service for children.
Free-tier limits
The WondraCalm free tier includes a limited number of personalised sessions and no saving of sessions. WondraCalm Unlimited (Section 3) removes these limits and adds a saved library and other premium features, for £6.99/month or £49.99/year.
Wellbeing disclaimer. WondraCalm is designed for relaxation and general wellbeing. It is not medical care, therapy, counselling, or a crisis service, and it is not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are struggling with your mental health or in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services. Do not use WondraCalm while driving or doing anything that requires your full attention.
19. WondraWords specifics
WondraWords is our personalised speech app for adults — it interviews you and helps you write a speech, such as a wedding speech, in your own voice. The shared Terms above (1–16) apply in full. The following is specific to WondraWords.
Who can use WondraWords
WondraWords is intended for adults aged 18 and over. You must be old enough to hold an Apple ID and to enter into a binding agreement in your country of residence.
Free tier and pricing
Your first speech draft is free. WondraWords Unlimited — unlimited drafts, edits and practice — is available as an auto-renewable annual subscription of £29.99 per year. Prices may vary by region and the current price is shown in the app at the time of purchase. Subscriptions are sold through Apple, and the Apple subscription terms set out in Section 3 (billing, auto-renewal, cancellation via your Apple ID settings, and Apple-managed refunds) apply to WondraWords in the same way.
How WondraWords works with your content
WondraWords is a coach and drafting aid, not a professional speechwriting service. It works from your interview answers and your own voice to help you shape a draft, which is a starting point for you to review, edit and make your own. The AI-generated content terms in Section 4 apply. Any voice recordings you make stay on your device unless you choose to keep them.
Speaking about other people
A speech is usually about other people. You are responsible for the content you choose to include, and you confirm that you have a genuine personal connection to the people you mention and are using WondraWords for a personal, non-commercial speech. You agree not to use WondraWords to harass, defame, or share private information about anyone, or to create content that is unlawful or harmful. The finished speech is yours to deliver.
